Arturo Sevilla Quintana is an Ecuadorian conductor and composer based in Strasbourg, France, with artistic activity across Europe and South America.
He began his musical training at the Conservatoire Antonio Neumane in Guayaquil, where he studied violin from an early age. Early drawn to composition and conducting, he started developing his own projects during his adolescence, working with ensembles and exploring both performance and creative work.
Since then, he has worked with a wide range of ensembles, performing repertoire from classical to contemporary music. His activity includes collaborations with composers and participation in premieres of new works, reflecting a strong engagement with contemporary creation.
He has conducted in several countries across South America and Europe, particularly in France and Germany. His artistic profile is marked by versatility, combining symphonic orchestral repertoire with a strong interest in diverse artistic contexts and collaborative projects.
Alongside his conducting work, Arturo Sevilla is also active as a composer and arranger. His works and arrangements have been performed internationally, including in Ecuador, Colombia, Venezuela and Peru.
He pursued his studies in France, notably at the Haute école des arts du Rhin (HEAR) in Strasbourg, where he developed his work in orchestral conducting and contemporary music.
